Effects to each part of Mylabris phalerata against in vitro human stomach cancer cell |

ABSTRACT |
Background & Objective : To investigate the portion of anticancer effect Mylabris phalerata, Mylabris phalerata was sectioned into 4 parts ; whole body, body, limbs and head.
Materials & Methods : We used the human cancer cell as a target in indentifying the anticancer effect. For elucidating their effect, morphological finding, trypan blue exclusion test, MTT assay, regalation of Bcl-2 Bcl-XL Bax gene expression, mitochondrial membrane permeability transition, mitochondrial membrane potential were applied.
Results: Results were as follows ; 1. Morphologically cytotoxic effect was appeared in order of body, whole body, head, limbs. 2. Cytotoxic effect with trypan blue exclusion test was appeared in order of body, whole body, head, limbs. 3. Inhibitory effect to cancer cell proliferation with MTT assay was appeared in order of body, whole body, head, limbs. 4. Bcl-2 Bcl-XL Bax gene regulation with RT-PCR did not show the significant change. 5. Mitochondrial membrane permeability was lowered in order of body, whole body, body, head, limbs.
Conclusion: From the above results, It could be recognized that effect of Mylabris phalerata against human stomach cancer cell comes from it s body portion. |
